“For the Hospital this event is always a ray of hope, a possibility to better serve the children and families we serve thanks to the helping hand given to us by the golfers, the Association and sponsors. Having this latest technology equipment, efficient and increasingly less invasive effects on children, makes a big difference because it is quality of care and improved response to treatment. Many grateful hearts of patients and families will forever repay them,” commented Dr. Olga Arguedas, Director of the National Children’s Hospital.

It is estimated that with this donation more than one and a half million patients per year will benefit from versatile, efficient and daily needed equipment.

“For AERIS, the interested manager of the Juan Santamaría International Airport, and as part of the philosophy we share with our parent company Grupo CCR, it is key to exceed our contractual obligations and generate a positive impact beyond our daily operations. With this tournament, that disposition derives in benefiting a public that requires it, such as the patients of the National Children’s Hospital; we thank our allies, and in general all those who participated,” said Ricardo Hernandez, general director of AERIS.

“It fills us with joy to confirm that the tournament in benefit of the National Children’s Hospital raised, thanks to the support of so many generous people, the necessary economic resources to support Costa Rican children. The Pro-National Children’s Hospital Association will continue working with great motivation to support the work of the Hospital as we have done for more than 40 years,” added Alejandro Pignataro, president of the Association.

Eighteen editions of commitment to children. In the nearly two decades that the tournament has been held, more than $2 million has been raised for the purchase of medical equipment for this pediatric care center.
