Juan Santamaría International Airport offers the following services for special passenger assistance:

AERIS personnel, the airport manager, will be able to guide passengers through the different information booths.

Currently, the airport does NOT have luggage lockers.

Entry and Exit with animals

All animals entering the country must carry the International Health Certificate. This certificate must be signed and stamped by the official entity of the country of origin.

Departure tax

El pago de impuestos de salida es necesario para cumplir con el impuesto que el gobierno cobra a los pasajeros que salen del país a través del aeropuerto.


Los requisitos son:

• Cancelación del monto del impuesto de $29.00
• Presentación de cédula del beneficiario o documento de identificación.
• Presentación del pasaporte con el que va a viajar.

A partir del año 2015, se empezó a incluir el cobro del impuesto de salida aéreo en los tiquetes de las siguientes Líneas Aéreas:
