January, 2023. The extension of the validity of the Aerodrome Certificate for the Juan Santamaría International Airport (AIJS) managed by AERIS guarantees that the main air terminal of the country complies with the international standards by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as well as the norms established by Civil Aviation of the MOPT.

The continuity of the certification guarantees that the operation of AIJS has continuous improvement processes that allow reducing operational risks. It also highlights the commitment to the environment, excellence in passenger experience and a responsible activity with the neighboring communities and immediate environment.

“For AERIS Holding Costa Rica, the interested manager of Juan Santamaría International Airport, working together is the key to success. This philosophy that we have adopted from CCR Group, our parent company, is confirmed because the collaboration with the Costa Rican Civil Aviation authorities, the private sector and the public sector, results in a world-class airport, in which the best international practices prevail for the benefit of the aviation industry and the recovery of the national economy,” said Ricardo Hernandez, CEO of AERIS.

The issuance of this certificate guarantees the standardization and compliance with the norms recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization, as well as the regulations established by the DGAC for the management of different operations at the airport.

The certificate in this case, after analysis by Civil Aviation, will be extended every 3 years, and implies a series of benefits such as the reduction of deficiencies and operational errors, allows the continuous improvement of the operation and promotes that the activity is sustainable and orderly.

In addition, as AIJS claims to be the gateway to pure life experiences, this certificate serves as a message of confidence to users of the quality, safety and overall competence that the terminal possesses.
